TNTET Exam Important Date Details
TNTET Exam 2022 Qulalification:
(a) Minimum Educational Qualifications to write TNTET Paper-I (for classes I-V).
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
or
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
or
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
or
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
or
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
or
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.,).
(b) Minimum Educational Qualifications to write TNTET Paper- II (for classes VI-VIII).(Graduate teacher (Related subjects, Tamil, English and other than Tamil and English languages))
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Or
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).
Or
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations.
Or
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
Or
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed.
Or
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).
Or
Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. programme, recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TNTET. Moreover, as per existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11.02.2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher
Age Limit For TNTET Exam 2022
The candidates must be minimum of 18 years old. There is no upper age limit.
TNTET Application Fees:
The Examination fee is Rs. 500/- for all the candidates except SC, SCA, ST and Person with Disability.
For SC, SCA, ST and Person with Disability Candidates, the examination fee is Rs. 250/-.
Since the examination fee is different for various categories, candidates are advised to enter the correct Community / Person with Disability category. Once the payment is made, it will not be refunded.
TNTET Exam Date 2022 Details:
The date, time and center for the Written Examination will be indicated in the Hall Ticket. The Hall Tickets for the eligible candidates will be uploaded by the TRB in its official website. The candidates are advised to refer the TRB website for details (http://www.trb.tn.nic.in).
Examination Center For TNTET Exam 2022:
Examination will be held in all districts. Candidates should appear for the Examination at their own expenses. The Board reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of examination centres and to re-allot the candidates for administrative reasons. Examination centre will be informed in the hall ticket.
TNTET Paper I Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2022
Number of questions: 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Duration of Examination: 3 Hours
Procedure to Apply for TNTET Online Application 2022 Paper I & Paper II :
Step 1: Candidates should apply only through online mode in the TRB website

Step 2: Use separate application for Paper-I and Paper-II.
Step 3: Candidates should ensure that they have their scanned recent colour passport size photograph (JPG/JPEG /PNG format of size 20-60 KB) and signature (JPG/JPEG/PNG format of size 10-30 KB) separately. The online application should be uploaded with the photograph and signature of the candidate with complete information.
Step 4: A valid e-mail id and Mobile Number are mandatory for registration and e-mail id should be kept active till the declaration of results3
Step 5: All the particulars mentioned in the online application including name of the candidate, paper applied, communal category, date of birth, address and all other fields will be considered as final. Candidates are requested to fill the online application form with utmost care and caution as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained. Incomplete or defective applications shall be summarily rejected.
Step 6: The online application can be submitted up to 13.04.2022 till 05.00 p.m. after which the link gets disabled.
Step 7: Candidates are only fully responsible for all the details and documents submitted along with the application. Candidates have to go through all the instruction carefully and carefully fill up details and upload document.
Step 8: The online application without candidate’s photograph and signature and incomplete information will be rejected.
